Finding My Life’s Purpose

Strong Woman 1Things have been quiet over here on because I’ve been working on my latest “passion” project.

I have a personal goal to positively impact the lives and careers of one million women or more. To do that, I chucked my 25 year corporate career (*gasping for air*) to become a business coach for women. An advocate for women.  A booty kicking, truth telling, angel warrior for women.

And I reached a lot of them.

But not enough. It’s never enough.

I quickly realized that my one-on-one coaching model was not going to get me to one million women in my lifetime. I had to look for ways to multiply my message.

I started by writing, Bring It, Bitches! and went on a countrywide speaking tour.

And that reached a lot of women…but not enough.

So…You might want to sit down for this. Something B-I-G is about to be revealed.

I put my thinking cap on, said a little prayer, dug deep, and Bring It B-School was born.

I want to teach women just like you EXACTLY how to unleash their personal power, grab their future by the tail, and take charge of their career and life once and for all. (That includes making sure they earn what they’re worth!)

I’m staying true to my blue-collar roots, and core values, and offering it at a MIND BLOWING low, low cost! ‘Cause I want all women to win. Always.

(I’m not gonna lie…it’s gonna be illegal amounts of fun – and totally transformative too. I pinky swear to keep it awesome.)

If this speaks to your soul or you’re curious to learn more, check out Bring It B-School now! I’d love to have you join me on this journey!

Along this journey, I am constantly asked (like a couple times every day), “How did you find your passion or life’s purpose? And, how do I find mine?”

Excellent question.

It seems like there are a ton of “experts” out there who attempt to answer this question. Just scan the self-help section of your local library or bookstore and you’ll see. I don’t have all the answers, but I can share what my journey has been like and just maybe you can pull something from there that might help you too.

I’m a big picture kind of chick. Don’t get me wrong, I like details (truth is…I’m pretty anal about a lot of things), but I like to look for themes that pop up over a period of time.

That was an important step in finding my passion.

Looking back on my life, I’ve always been interested in women’s issues – particularly women as leaders. I’ve always been one to share what I’ve learned and not hoard it all to myself. And, I’ve always been passionate about preparing and empowering the girls that come behind me more than I was prepared or empowered.

And, I’ve ALWAYS been one for the underdog.  The quickest way to see both the best and the worst in me is to let me see someone who is being bullied or manipulated when they’re down. I can be fierce. Most times that’s good. Occasionally, it’s not (and this scenario ain’t pretty). I’m not perfect. But I try to stand up for what’s right and for those who, for a number of reasons, can’t stand up for themselves.

Sometimes as women, we find ourselves as the underdog.

Seeking my purpose, I followed what naturally gave me energy and a good feeling when I looked back on the day. It became a way of life for me that transcended a “job.” Things shifted over time and one day I woke up and couldn’t imagine doing anything else but coaching women to create a career they love and life they deserve.

I couldn’t NOT do it. (Settle down Captain GrammarPants. I know that’s wrong.)

I truly believe it is my purpose in life. Or at least a big chunk of it.

Then I had to figure out how to make a living out of my purpose. And that, my friend, is another conversation completely. Let’s have that one soon!

So, cheers to you finding YOUR passion. Listen to your soul – it’s telling you all that you really need to know. This world needs something that only you can provide, so get out there and ‘Bring It’!

P.S. Please share Bring It B-School with all of the women in your inner circle. This isn’t about the money for me (clearly, the price is *INSANE*); this is about my personal goal to positively impact the lives and careers of one million women or more! Please help me get there. *muah*
